Tours From Jordan To Israel
3 Days / 2 Nights
Day 1:
Your guide will pick you up at the Allenby Bridge and drive you to Al Quds – The Holy City Jerusalem. We start our tour with a panoramic view of the Holy City from the Mount of Olives. We continue to the Haram esh-Sharif, visiting on the way the "Wailing Wall", the last remnants of the Jewish Temple, Bait al Muqaddes, mentioned in the Holy Qur'an as Awl el Qiblatain. We will have a guided tour of the Haram esh-Sharif , learning about it’s historical & architectonical background, as well as the many legends told about the holy Al Aqsa Mosque & The Dome of the Rock, “whose precincts We did bless” – Al Qur’an el Kareem, Sura 17, verse 1. Then we walk through the Muslim Quarter and the colorful "Suq" (Bazaar) and follow a few of the stations of the "Via Dolorosa" (the Catholic "Way of suffering"), to the "Church of the Holy Sepulcher", the place where Nabi 'Issa (Jesus) was crucified and buried. Overnight Bethlehem.
Day 2:
In Bethlehem, we visit the "Church of the Nativity" – the place were Jesus was born. This is the oldest church in the world, and it was never destroyed since the 4th Century! Leave Jerusalem and drive down to the ancient port-city of Jaffa. Jaffa was known already to the Greeks, who believed that Andromeda was tied to a rock at its shores, but the port of Jaffa was also used, among others, by the rich and wise
King Solomon (Nabi Suleiman), the prophet Jonas, Nabi Butrus, who had there the "Vision of the Flesh" and Napoleon Bonaparte… We will then drive through the pulsating city Tel Aviv and along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Acco (Acre) an ancient, well preserved port-city, full of controversies. After entering the Old City through the thick walls that symbolize the Islamic victory over the “Emperor” - Napoleon Bonaparte, we visit the very well-preserved "Knights Halls" which were buried under the Muslim city. We will also visit the Turkish “Hammam” (Bath) where a state-of-the-art audiovisual show leads you through its chambers, and make the “good old days” come alive… All those sites are in, around, and under the living oriental Bazaar with its colors and odors of the East. We will not miss, of course, a visit and a prayer at the glorious Al Jazzar Mosque, holding some hairs of the Prophets beard, the mosque that became one of the symbols of the city. In the late afternoon we drive through the hills of Galilee to Tiberias, where we will spend the night. Overnight Tiberias.
Day 3:
Drive to Nazareth. Here you will visit the " Basilica of the Annunciation", standing right on the House of Mariam (Mary), where Nabi 'Issa (Jesus) spent most of his life. Surprisingly, this is a modern church, built in the 20th Century according to the most recent beliefs of the Catholic Church. We continue driving through the city of Nazareth, passing by "Mary's well". After another short drive through the Galilee, Lake Kinnereth, the "Sea of Galilee", unfolds below us. Near Tiberias, overlooking the glorious Sea of Galilee, we will visit the Tomb of Nabi Shuaib (Jethro) – The father-in-law of Nebi Moussa, who helped him in fighting the infidel Midianites, and fled from them to hide in this cave. This place is also a very holy place for the Druze. We also visit the archaeological excavations of Capernaum, "The Town of Jesus", with St. Peter's House and its well-known Synagogue. We will also see the reconstructed Church of the Multiplication with its very unique mosaic-floor, dating back to the 6th Century, before driving to the Sheikh Hussein Bridge, were we cross the border to Jordan.
